Firm Profile
On September 1, 2008, Tom R. Ramsey, formerly of Isaacs Ramsey Law Firm and R. Scott Elmore, formerly of The Elmore Law Firm, established Ramsey Elmore, PLLC. Sharing a common goal of commitment to integrity in both their business and personal lives led them to the decision to unite their firms.
Their mission is to provide premium and professional service to all clients. The combined staff of six attorneys all share this vision. Through these common values they are able to provide comprehensive services to a similar client base. Tom and Scott share common family values, dedication to the community, and expertise (a combined 38 years) within their separate fields. By joining forces, Ramsey and Elmore have the opportunity to expand into a multi-discipline firm while still maintaining a personal relationship with their clients.
Tom Ramsey offers comprehensive and sophisticated estate planning and probate administration. He has been involved in numerous complex probate administrations involving will contests and elective share proceedings and is also well versed in conservatorship / guardianship proceedings. Ramsey has served as both secretary and treasurer and is currently the President of the Knoxville Bar Association. He also remains very active in the Knoxville scene as a Trustee for the Toms foundation, an active member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church as well as a soccer coach at West Valley Middle School. Tom lives in west Knoxville with his wife, Kim and children, Ryan, Reid and Abby Ann.
Scott Elmore has a general business practice, with an emphasis on banking, corporate, partnership and real estate transactions. He regularly advises clients in their day to day business operations and assists them with loans, leases, sales, mergers and acquisitions. Elmore provides title, escrow and closing services as an agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. As organizer and director of American Trust Bank of East Tennessee, a member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Knoxville and immediate past chairman of Junior Achievement of East Tennessee, Elmore is a leader in the Knoxville community. He attends Cokesbury United Methodist Church. He and his wife Leslie have two children, Jackson and Jameson.
Tom and Scott are excited to announce that they have recently moved to a new office located at 5616 Kingston Pike in the Bearden area.
Both Tom and Scott approach the legal profession with a similar perspective. It's not only about business; it's about building a relationship. They are focused on establishing long term client relationships, or as Scott likes to say, "we want clients for life."
